Face Masks Made From Ingredients You Can Find In Your Kitchen

If you've barely had a chance to recover from the chaos of this past week, it's time to take a moment for self-care. Especially your face.

There's no need to risk your health going in to buy store-bought face masks, or see a beautician when you can make homemade face masks with just a few ingredients - some of which you likely already have in your refrigerator, yes, even during the apocalypse.

ALL SKIN TYPES

 Oatmeal And Yogurt Face Mask

Goal: To cleanse and rejuvenate your skin.

  • 1 tbsp oatmeal, finely ground
  • 1 tbsp live, organic yogurt.
  • A few drops of honey.
  1. Add the yogurt to the oatmeal in a small bowl and mix.
  2. Warm a few drops of honey. To do this, warm a spoon under hot water for a minute, then add a few drops of honey to the spoon.
  3. Stir the honey into the yogurt and oatmeal mixture.
  4. Apply the mask to the face. Leave it on for 10 minutes, then rinse off with several splashes of warm water. Follow with a warm washcloth.
  5. Apply moisturizer.

FACE MASK FOR OILY SKIN

Banana Face Mask

Goal: To brighten your skin and help reduce oils.

  • 1 banana, preferably ripe. (You can keep ripe bananas in the freezer. Let it thaw before using.)
  • 2 tbsp honey.
  • 1 tsp lemon or orange juice.
  1. Mash up the banana.
  2. Mix in the honey. ( For best results, put the ingredients in a blender.)
  3. Add the juice of the lemon or orange.
  4. Apply to face for 15 minutes before rinsing with a warm washcloth.
  5. Apply Moisturizer.

  • 1 teaspoon of coconut oil.
  • 1 egg white.
  • 1 handful of oats, finely ground.
  1. Add the coconut oil to the finely ground oats and mix.
  2. Add the egg white and mix.
  3. Apply to face for 15 minutes before rinsing with a warm washcloth.
